About AK Wellbeing

About Me

Hello, I'm Anita, a qualified and accredited counsellor offering online counselling across the UK. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for many years in nursing, where I developed a deep appreciation for compassionate care, trust and emotional support.


I offer a warm, confidential and supportive space where you can talk openly about what you are experiencing, without judgement. My role is to help you feel heard, understood and supported as we explore what may be feeling difficult, overwhelming or stuck. 


I work integratively, drawing on person-centred counselling, CBT-informed tools and Gestalt awareness. This means we can look at your emotions, thoughts, behaviours and patterns together, helping you build greater self-awareness and begin to make sense of what is happening for you. 



Sessions are offered online, giving you the flexibility to access counselling from a private and comfortable space that works for you. Online counselling can be especially helpful if you have a busy schedule, prefer the comfort of your own surroundings, or are looking for support that fits around daily life. 


How counselling can help


Counselling can offer a space to pause, reflect and begin making sense of what feels heavy, confusing or difficult to manage. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of overthinking, or unsure how to move forward. Having a safe and consistent space to talk things through can help you gain clarity and feel less alone with what you are carrying. 



I support clients with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship challenges, self-doubt, burnout, grief, life transitions and feeling emotionally overwhelmed. Together, we can explore what is happening beneath the surface and work at a pace that feels manageable for you. 



Therapy is not about being told what to do. It is about being supported to understand yourself more deeply, recognise patterns, build self-awareness and develop ways of coping that feel right for you. My aim is to offer a calm, compassionate and grounded space where you can begin to reconnect with yourself. 


Online Counselling with AK Wellbeing 


I currently offer counselling sessions online, providing flexible support that you can access from a private and comfortable space. Online therapy can be helpful if you have a busy schedule, find it difficult to attend appointments in person, or prefer the ease of connecting from your own surroundings. 


Sessions take place through a secure online platform, allowing us to work together in a calm, confidential and professional way. All you need is a quiet space, a stable internet connection and a device where you feel comfortable talking. 


Online counselling can support you to pause, reflect and talk through what you are experiencing without needing to travel. It offers a consistent therapeutic space that can fit around work, family life and other commitments.
